Ms. Rachel’s Line Dance & Clogging Teams: Over 30 Years of Tradition at the Cotton Fair
For three decades, the Cotton Fair stage has come alive with the sound of tapping shoes and lively music, thanks to Ms. Rachel’s dancers. This talented line dance and clogging group has become one of the fair’s most anticipated traditions, bringing energy, rhythm, and community spirit year after year.
Made up of students from Ms. Rachel’s Dance Connection, also among them is her daughter Beverly and husband Guy, who has been a part of the studio and shares Rachel’s love for dance. Together, they all have inspired countless young dancers and helped carry forward the tradition of line dancing and clogging with pride.
Beyond the fairgrounds, Ms. Rachel’s dancers are known for giving back to the community. They regularly volunteer to perform at senior homes, lifting spirits through dance, and they support local charity events and benefits with their time and talent. This year marks 30+ years of Ms. Rachel’s dancers at the Cotton Fair, a milestone that highlights not just their skill in dance but also their role as ambassadors of community, tradition, and kindness. Their story is one of dedication, service, and the power of dance to connect people across generations.
